An excellent nickel mounted bow by Charles Marcel Lapierre. The stick is pernambuco and of a rich dark caramel colour. A very artistic maker, he initially trained with Thibouville-Lamy, then went on to work for F.Lotte, Louis Bazin and Morizot before setting up his own workshops. This bow was made circa 1950. In lovely condition with just the smallest of imperfections, the bow is original in all principle parts. A really nice quality bow!
