An interesting copy of a 1770 Gagliano, this violin was made circa 1910. Labelled as a Gagliano copy and probably from the Laberte-Humbert workshops. The condition is very good, there are no repairs or damage, just minor varnish marks. The back is one piece slab cut, the length is 14.1/8 (359 mm) finished in an orange/amber varnish of good lustre. Set up with ebony fittings, Pro-Arte strings and supplied in a new lightweight case. An easy to play instrument that responds well, has a nice pleasing tone and has good volume. Recommended and good value!
