A photo of the label:
A good quality violin from the J.Thibouville-Lamy workshops, a Sarasate Maître model dating from around 1925. Labelled as an Amati copy and stamped Sarasate Maître on the button. The violin also carries the J.T.L. Acoulon & Blondelet label on the treble side. In excellent condition with just very minor varnish blemishes, most of the Sarasate violins are Elève or student quality so it is unusual to find a Maître which is master quality! The back measurement is 358 mm. Set up with Dominant strings, new ebony fittings and supplied in a new case. It is an easy to play violin with a vibrant responsive tone, well balanced and with good expression. These are always a good choice!
