An early Buthod violin made around 1910.The Jerome Thibouville-Lamy workshops acquired the Buthod brand around 1885, this subsequently became one of their top models along with the Barnabetti, they are excellent violins, well made and with good attention to detail. This example is in very good condition, there are no repairs or damage, just some minor varnish discolouration on the front. The back length is: 358 mm. set up with rosewood fittings, Dominant strings and supplied in a new case. An instrument with a balanced lyrical tone and a nice clear sound. Highly recommended!
