A good quality violin by Louis Delignon, he worked for Collin-Mezin and Georges Apparut in Paris before establishing his own workshops in his birthplace Baudricourt in the north eastern part of France. An accomplished maker who was renowned for his excellent oil varnish of a warm chestnut colour. This example of his work is in excellent condition without repairs. Back length is 355 mm. and setup with Dominant strings and a new lightweight case. Dated 1945 on the treble side. A pleasure to play, a violin with a balanced lyrical tone and good volume. A nice quality violin!
